Has worked with A Just Harvest as a volunteer. Has worked with Northside P.O.W.E.R as a Chairperson of Condominium Foreclosures. Has worked with Communities United Against Foreclosures and Evictions as a volunteer. Has worked with the Neighborhood Recovery Initiative (NRI) as a Plan member.

 

She spoke at North Park University’s Anderson Chapel in March of 2012 about urging Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan to help provide financial relief for Illinois homeowners affected by the 2008 housing crisis. She was a spokesperson for IIRON at St. Mark United Methodist Church in May of 2012 with Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan and U.S. Representative for Illinois's 9th Congressional District Jan Schakowsky in attendance. She also spoke at the Daley Plaza in December of 2012. She worked with the Peoples Lobby as a volunteer to help Robin Kelly get elected Congresswoman of the Illinois 2nd District. She has worked with O.N.E. Northside (Organizing Neighborhoods for Equality) and Ceasefire as volunteer. Has received a Certificate of Leadership for successful completion of Organizing 101

 

Work at Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) from 1993 to 2010 in the Claims and Collections Division. She worked with servicing student loans sent to the Department of Education. While working at ISAC, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and her Master in Inner City Studies from Northeastern Illinois University

 

She has been working at the Parallel Employment Group since 2011 as a substitute teacher for the Uno, Alternative, and Charter Schools K – 12th Grade. She is also working part time at Jewels

 

Has been an Election Judge for since 2012. And has worked for the Chicago Board of Elections
